What is crowdfunding? Crowdfunding is the practice of soliciting financial support from a large number of people especially from the online community and through social media channels. Crowdfunding offers our donors a platform to provide support directly to programs and specific projects at Saint Peter’s that are most meaningful to them and which support the University’s overall mission by improving our community – on campus and beyond.
How do I submit a project application?
Applications can be submitted by visiting the "submit a project idea" tab on the home page and follow the prompts that are provided. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Chris Hansen '04, assistant director of annual giving, at (201) 761-6104 or chansen@saintpeters.edu.
How are projects approved after an application has been submitted?
A committee within the Office of Advancement and External Affairs will review applications and make recommendations to and seek approvals from the Cabinet.
What makes for a successful crowdfunding project?
Successful projects are the ones supported by an enthusiastic team of 10+ people.
Each crowdfunding project will be active for a period of 30-45 days. We recommend a fundraising goal of between $2,000-$10,000.
